Grandma Landon
Ada Alice Landon born April 29, 1913 was a joyous little lady. I had the privelege of growing up with Grandma & Grandpa just down the hill from where I lived. Oh how Grandma loved the “kiddies” She was a hard worker and wonderful caregiver. Grandma had a wonderful relationship with God. She talked of Sunday dinners at the Hostetler farm with missionaries after church. From an early age Grandma followed the Lord. Her Daddy was a minister. Grandma enjoyed most Love of God & Love of Family, especially her Angels!.
Grandma had a twinkle in her eyes and enjoyed life to its fullest. Even in her 90’s she was full of life & volunterring at the Apple Butter Festival. Grandma was a saver, I loved going through her drawers of treasures with her, she had silk from Korea, trinkets from all over the world that Uncle Wayne, Uncle Harold, Uncle Ralph & Uncle Richard had sent to her when they were in the service, dishes from her Aunt Lilly & Mother, baby dolls from Germany where Uncle Wayne was stationed, tatted lace from Grandma Landon, jewelry from her sister Ruth. What fun I had upstairs with my Grandma. She even still had letters from Grandpa that she had kissed & sent over seas to him when he was in the Army. As I grew up and phone calls were made, Grandma would never say good-bye, it was always Goodnight. When the love of her life died, Grandma was saddened but decided that Grandpa was not gone , just away visitng, so I will think the same as Grandma, for I know she is away in a wonderful place, I know that she was welcomed into the gates of Heaven and is reuniting with her loved one there. I was miss my little Grandma but know that she is only away. I love you Grandma, for your kindness, love, understanding and love of life. I know that I am a better person for having you in my life. What a wonderful example you have set for us.

Easter Fun
I have so many wonderful memories of going to church on Easter Sunday with my family. We always got new Easter dresses and pocketbooks. Up to open Easter baskets on the kitchen table and then getting ready for church and hearing of God's resurrection!. My little brother who loved food, always had trouble keeping away from the sweets before church. After church we had big dinners and when we were really young all got together at Grandma Landon's for Easter egg hunts that lasted the whole day or so it seemed! Visiting with out of state cousins and having lots of fun!
Winter memories
Added some pictures today. They are from winter 2009 & 2010. Some beautiful pictures from our area and of course my kids , furry ones too. We actually saw some sunshine today but are under another weather advisory until tommorrow afternoon. All I can say is it sure is white & cold!

Happy New Year
The New Year has come in with a vengance!!!! We have about 3 1/2 ft of snow on top of ice & old snow & it is still coming down. It seems like a real old fashoined winter. The holidays came and went. It just didn't seem like Christmas this year. Family problems, Grandma' s in the nursing homes.... I sure hope that 2010 will be better. I am very thankful for the blessings in my like & struggle with the other. I found this on the web yesterday & loved it I hope this is the Prayer for 2010

Happy Birthday Ryan - March 9th, 2009
At 8:33 pm this evening my son will be exactly 18 years old! I just cannot believe it. He weighed 7 lbs 12.6 ounces and was 21 inches long. I was amazed and quite overwhelmed with my wide eyed little boy. We have went through the Barney days, Power Ranger, BatMan & Spiderman, trick bikes, lots & lots of basketball and now girls!!!!! I love my son very much and am very pround of him. My little boy with the golden curls has turned into a very handsome young man.
How will March arrive
I always remember bulletin boards at school with lambs and lions when it comes to March. I wonder which way March will arrive..... The weatherman says snow flurries on Saturday so I am thinking in like a lion!
